December 1st Boring week

This has been a fairly boring week so far. We haven't done anything really worthy of blogging so this is going to be a short post. Other than exploring a few new shopping centers, we have been mostly hanging around the school. The one high point was that Tyson and I did have our first experience on the Korean subway. The most obvious difference from the subways here verses the ones in Boston are that these ones are immaculately clean! There is no graffiti anywhere in Korea, let alone along the walls of the subway station. Even the inside of the subway cars is spotlessly clean. Another big difference is the lack of litter and rats along the tracks themselves. I will have to post a picture in one of my future blogs to show just how clean even the rails are. It is so nice to see the people of here have enough respect for their surrounds not to deface it with a can of spray paint or permanent marker. Even the many tunnels, underpasses and bridges are decorated with carvings of birds and flowers instead of the scrawling of illegible misspelled names, gangs. There is so much here I wish I could bring back to the states, but the cleanliness’ or respect for other people's property will not be one of them.
