Keeping busy

I have decided not to put Tyson into preschool while we are here. I want him home with me as much as possible knowing that once we go to Korea, Tyson will be enrolled in all day school. So, trying to keep him busy and not focus on missing Daddy so much has been difficult. So one of our first big adventures was to take a trip, with my mom, out to Rhode Island to my sister's house. Less then a year before I drove out there to watch her kids while she and her husband when to the hospital to bring my niece, Ezme, into the world. This time I went out so my nephew, Oliver, could make his appearance. We managed to squeeze so much into the week that we were there. My mom and I had a great time taking the kiddos to the playground up the street, along with the playground at the local mall when the temperature outside got a bit too high. The day my sister went into the hospital, my mom and I took all 5 kids to to the Touch A Truck at the park. I was amazed to see just how many construction trucks, ambulances, rescue vehicles and demonstrations they had there that day. I knew Tyson would have fun, but I think he enjoyed it more then any of the other kids. He climbed onto every vehicle they had there, blowing, honking and tooting every horn along the way. His favorite was the big Mac truck with the really loud horn.

Here are a few photos from our day with the trucks.
